About DVSIET
Indian History depicts that gurukuls were located all over
the country within and out skirts of the cities.
Modern science has also revealed that a pollution free and calm
environment undoubtedly boosts the process of learning the location of DVSIET has been
chosen to provide a healthy learning environment to the students.
DVSIET is situated 8 km away from the Meerut city. It is situated on the Meerut-Delhi
by-pass. The Institute also enjoys its close proximity to Delhi (52 kms Run).
Frequent industrial visits to Noida are very common to the students of DVSIET.
Meerut, a city dating back to the time of king (Rama) himself, being the
kingdom (Rashtra) of the demon Maya. That is how
it got its name Maya-Rashtra which later got deformed with the time of Mayarat
and then Meerut.
A small town Sardhana, about 15 km from Meerut, was built by Begum Samru, a very
prominent historical belonging to Mughal Family. The magnificent church of
Sardhana is one of the oldest Roman Catholic Churches in India and is dedicated
to Virgin Mary, During the month of November, people from all over the world
gather here to pray to revoke blessings of the Holy Mother. Our National
language, Hindi (khari Boli), originated from Meerut. It was also the city from
where the bugle sounded for the freedom struggle by Mangal Pandey on 10th
May, 1857. It is this historical city which is now destined to be the seat of
one of the best Institutes for Engineering Technologies, Information Technology,
E-Commerce and a host of other disciplines relevant to the future.
