LIBRARY

The library is committed to offer a rapid response with greater flexibility to meet the needs of a growing student-faculty . The library ensures that students not only have their relevant course books, journals and reference books but also have reading material that increase knowledge for an over-all development of their personality. The library has a collection of over 8,200 books with 1600 titles and 46 National and International Journals. The library also provides a rich collection of all prominent magazines in the area of technology , business as well as general awareness. The Institute also has a DELNET, which provides ready access to libraries of leading institutions from National Capital Region.

The Book bank facility is also provided to the students which helps them in getting the subject related books from the library in every semester for the entire semester other then the reference books



RULES AND REGULATIONS

The Library will be kept open on all working days as per the institute timings.


All the students, teaching and non-teaching staff are the members of the Library.


Books will be lent to the members only against a Borrower’s Library Card. All students will be given sanctioned no.of Books. The Library Card must be under a careful custody of the member whose name is there on the card, and is not transferable. The members shall be responsible for any book borrowed against that card.


Library Card must be returned to the Library when the student leaves the college either at the completion of the course or discontinuing the course for various reasons.


Duplicate Library Card will be issued against a charge of Rs. 100/- after ensuring that the card is lost. The member shall be responsible for any book issued against a lost card.


The members have to inform the Librarian immediately, if the Library Card is lost.


Borrowers are responsible for the loss or damage to the books borrowed. The date slip and the number label should not be tampered at any cost.


Every book will be examined when it is returned and if any book is found to be marked, spoiled or damaged the borrower shall be required to replace the book with a new copy or pay double the cost of the book


A student is entitled to keep a book for 10 days from the date of issue. Every book borrowed from the library shall be returned on the due date marked on the date slip before 4.00 p.m. Books in demand by the students will not be reissued to the same member


All members should return all the books taken by them within/after a period of one week to enable verification of stocks during the academic year as and when indicated by the Director


If books are not returned to the library on the due date, a fine of Re. 1/- per book per working day shall be levied. Absence from the college shall not be an excuse for any delay in returning the books.


Books due on a holiday may be returned on the next working day. No fine will be levied in such cases.


Reference Books, Digital Materials and copies of University examination question papers will not be lent out.


The Librarian may recall any book at any time even if the normal period of loan has not expired, if the book is in demand


Students are prohibited from taking their private belongings with them inside the reading room.


The librarian may refuse to issue books to those who violate these rules.


No reading material shall be removed from its place in the reading room without the knowledge of the librarian.


Students are required to handle all magazines and journals with care. They shall be liable to make good the loss or damage, if any, done to the periodicals.


Loose copies of magazines shall not be lent out.


Strict silence must be observed in the reading room and in the immediate precincts of the library.


Members may suggest in writing to the librarian about the purchase of any text books or reference books which may not be available in the library or for which the number of copies may not be sufficient.
